In August 2007 The Duke of Cumberland became licensed to hold marriages and civil partnerships in the Old Stables Bar & Function Room, providing a very central and intimate venue for your entire day of celebrations. The license also provides for the celebration of renewal of vows and child welcoming ceremonies to be held.

A typical wedding day might include the ceremony in the Old Stables, followed by a sit down wedding breakfast in the dining room, followed again by an evening party in the Stables Bar and function room.

The Old Stables Bar and function room is separate from the main building and able to accommodate your wedding reception; with a private bar and its own cloakrooms you can be assured of your privacy. We can accommodate up to 70 guests for a seated meal and up to 100 guests for buffet.

It has disabled access and natural lighting, due to the large patio doors opening onto a decked area.

Whatever the scale of your big day, we can provide the perfect menu and can cater for all tastes. Our team of highly trained and knowledgeable staff serve the finest cuisine, both local and international and our wine list features quality house wines as well as choice vintages from all over the world. We also offer a range of fine local and international beers.
