The Duke as a function area that is separate from the main building
that is able to accommodate functions of all types; with a private
bar and its own cloakrooms you can be assured of a private function.
We can accommodate up to 60 guests for a seated meal and up to 90
guests for buffet.
All functions are different so our legendary hospitality and flexible
catering arrangements means that we can work with you to develop
a menu to suit your event. Please contact us to discuss the requirements
to your event.
This is also our new conference facility and social or corporate
event venue. Once the inn's stable, it has been refurbished to a
very high standard.
It has disabled access and natural lighting, due to the large patio
doors opening onto a decked area.
Whatever the scale of your event, we can provide the perfect menu
and can cater for all tastes. Our team of highly trained and knowledgeable
staff serve the finest cuisine, both local and international and
our wine list features quality house wines as well as choice vintages
from all over the world. We also offer a range of fine local and
international beers.
The Function Room can be laid out in the following ways:
- Theatre for 60 guests or delegates
- Boardroom 30 guests or delegates
- U shape for 30 guests or delegates
- Banquet for 60 guests or delegates
- Reception 90 guests or delegates
Hire rates are as follows:
- Evening Function from £150 weekdays, from £200 weekends
- Full Day £250
- Half Day £150

- Overhead projector and screen
- T.V. with Video or DVD or screen only
Services include:
- English and Continental breakfasts
- Seated buffet luncheons

- Delegate day rates:
£40.00 inclusive of VAT (min 10 delegates)

- Three servings of Tea / Coffee / Biscuits – on arrival,
mid morning and afternoon.

Accommodation is available for your delegates, we have 8 en-suite
rooms that are available at a rate preferential rate of £45.00
per room (single occupancy) or £55.00 per room for a twin
room (we have 3 of these available). This rate is only available
if you have booked a meeting / conference at The Duke of Cumberland.
